Thomas Sampson held it circa 1334. Walter de Weston was presented to this dignity by the King 25th Aug. 1344 ^'^. John Ellkuker, canon of St. Patrick, DuhJiny ex- changed his preferment with Innocent de Flisco for this archdeaconry 20th Sept. 134!^; but the exchange does not seem to have been recognised, as the arch- deaconry was declared to be in the hands of an alien '"• Ellerker, however, held it during his life. Thomas de Holwell or Helewell obtained it 23rd May 135 1, vice John Ellerker deceased. His appoint- ment was ratified by the King". William de Ferrihv obtained it by exchange with Thomas de Hoi well for Kcpax rectory; the King con- firmed the exchange 29th June 1353 ^. He died pos- sessed of it 2ist Sept. 1379^^ William de Catton was admitted 23rd Sept. 1379 ♦». AViLLiAM DE Hexry or Kexby was admitted 8th Nov. 1379 ' He exchanged benefices with Roger de vo^y precentor ^ 12th Nov. 1379^^. ]{oBERT DE Manfield, appointed i8th Aug. 1380'". Ho exchanged it for the provostship of Beverley with Adam Spenser 14th Jan. i3(So-r'^. He exchanged it for the rectory of Rroskall with John Marshall, who was admitted 22nd Apr. I385-.
