Almerick de Bellomonte, however, seems to have held it in 1336 and 1338. Thomas de Nevill held it 31st March 1356. William de Westle held it 15th Aug. 1362. John de Kingeston possessed it 19th Oct. 1369 s^. John de Stokes held it 6th Nov. 1369^°. Alexander de Neville held it 5th Jan. 137 i^i, and was made archbishop of York in 1374. Gebaven, a Roman cardinal^ held it in 1376^2. William de Basingstoke, alias Munday de Basing- stoke, held it in 1379. Agapitus de Columpna, cardinal of St. Prica^ held it 13809-3. Pile us, cardinal of St, Praxedes, was appointed 9th May 138 1^^ John Maundolr held it in 1387 ^^ Hugh Herle held it in 1388^^. Thomas Weston held this dignity in 1393, and was confirmed in it 2nd July 1397 ^^ He died possessed of it in 1408. His will was proved 25th Feb. 1407-8. Alan de Newark held it in 1408.
