Ho was installed in 141 7, and held the office in 1428^-. Robert Ascogh held the deanery of Windsor 19th May 144713^ Thomas Manning was installed in 1452. John Vaux was installed in 1462 and died in 1470. William Morland was installed by proxy 26th Feb. 1470—71, and in person 8th March following^*. John Davyson was installed 3cth Oct. 147 1 ; and in 1473 ^^ ^^^^ removed to the deanery of Salisbury. William Dudley was installed 4th Dec. 1473 j ^^^ ^^ 1476 he was made bishop of Durham. Peter Courteney, LL.D., was appointed on the 9th, and installed nth Oct. 1476 ^^, on the resignation of William Dudley; and in 1478 he was made bishop of Exeter. Richard Beaucha^ip, LL.D., bishop of Salisbury ^ was installed dean of this chapel 4th March 1477—8. He was first chancellor of the Order of the Garter. Thomas Danet or Danette, S.T.P., from a canonry was appointed dean 25th Oct. 1481'^. He died i8th Sept. J 483 and was buried near the door of the chap- ter-house. William Beverley, appointed by patent nth Oct. 1483^7. He was installed in 1483. John Morgan, LL.D., was installed in 1484; and in 1496 he was made bishop of St. David's.
