24. And Martha cwæþ tō him, Ic wāt þæt hē ārīst on þām ȳtemestan dæge.^[6]

25. And sē Hǣlend cwæð tō hyre, Ic eom ǣryst, and līf; sē ðe gelȳfð on mē, þēah hē dead sȳ, hē leofað;^[7]

26. and ne swylt nān þāra þe leofað and gelȳfð on mē. Gelȳfst þū þyses?^[8]

27. Hēo cwæð tō him, Witodlīce Drihten, ic gelȳfe þæt þū eart Crīst, Godes Sunu, þe on middaneard cōme.^[9]

28. And þā hēo ðās þing sǣde, hēo ēode and clypode diglīce Marian hyre swustor, þus cweþende, Hēr is ūre Lārēow, and clypað þē.^[10]
