32. And hē cȳð þæt hē geseah and gehȳrde, and nān man ne underfēhð his cȳðnesse.^[1]

33. Sōðlīce sē þe [his] cȳðnesse underfēhþ, hē getācnað þæt God is sōðfæstnys.^[2]

34. Sē ðe God sende sprycð Godes word; ne sylþ God þone Gāst be gemete.^[3]

35. Fæder lufað þone Sunu, and sealde ealle þing on his hand.

36. Sē þe gelȳfð on Sunu sē hæfð ēce līf; sē þe þām Suna is ungelēafsum ne gesyhþ hē līf, ac Godes yrre wunað ofer hine.^[4]

1. Đā sē Hǣlend wyste þæt þā Pharisei gehȳrdon þæt hē hæfde mā leorningcnihta þonne Iohannes, -

2. þēah sē Hǣlend ne fullode, ac his leorningcnihtas, -

3. ðā forlēt hē Iudea land, and fōr eft on Galilea.
