足或不足
Lã a m̄-lã?
Have you enough?
我想足也
Uá siẽⁿ lã--a
I think there are enough.
好也。若是足就免用買
Hó--nōⁿ, nāⁿ-sĩ lã chiũ mín-ēng bói
All right, if you have enough you needn't buy any.
雞卵買三十粒
Koi-nñg bói saⁿ-tsáp liáp
Buy thirty fowl's eggs.
十陸粒烙半生熟
Tsáp-lák liáp luah pùaⁿ-chheⁿ sék
Half-fry sixteen of them.
存十四粒做粿
Tshûn tsáp-sì liáp tsò-kúe
The remaining fourteen make them into cakes.
着選鮮個
Tiéh suán chhiⁿ--kâi
You must choose fresh ones.
就是如此
Chiũ-sĩ chièⁿ-seⁿ
That's all.
飯勿烳過糜
Pn̄g màiⁿ-pû khah-mîⁿ
Don't boil the rice to soft.
膠離勿煮過辣
Ka-lî màiⁿ-tsṳ́ khah-hiam
Don't make the curry too hot.
食飯無鹹酸食不落
Chiáh-pn̄g bô kiâm-sng chiáh m̄-lóh
To take rice without relish it cannot be eaten.
伊請人滿席在
I chhiáⁿ-nâng phâng-phài tsãi
He invited people to lots of dishes.
伊個鹹酸多樣在。食不盡
I kâi kiâm-sng tsōi-iēⁿ tsāi, chiáh m̄-lióu
His relishes were of many kinds, we could'nt eat them all.
人人食到飽
Nâng-nâng chiáh-kàu-pá
Every body ate until they had enough.
伊個伙頭會在
I kâi húe-thâu õi-tsãi
His cook is very clever.
每樣伊煮來好在
Iēⁿ-Iēⁿ i tsṳ́-lâi hó-tsãi
Every thing he made was very nice indeed.
起初就食雞子湯。與麪包焙個
Thâu-tshái chiũ chiáh koi-kiáⁿ-thng, kah mīⁿ-pau pūe--kâi
First of all, we had chicken soup and toasted bread.
後羊肉烙。與荷蘭薯
Lióu iêⁿ-bah luah, kah hô-lan-tsṳ̂
Then mutton-chop and potatoes.
