He died Oct. 18, 1872, in Litchfield, Conn. Brace, Jonathan, lawyer, jurist, congressman, was born Nov. 12, 1754, in Harrington, Conn. He was a judge of probate and chief judge of the Hartford county court. In 1798-1801 he was a, representative to the and sixth fifth congresses. He was frequently in the state legislature; at one time state attorney for Hartford county; and for nine vears was mayor of Hartford. He died Aug. 26, 1837, in Hartford, Conn. Brace, Theodore, soldier, lawyer, jurist, was born June 10, 1835, in Maryland. In 1861-62 he was colonel of the third Missouri cayalry, second district of iVlissouri guard. In 1874-75 he was a member of the Missouri state senate. In 1878-79 he was judge of the probate court; and was judge of the circuit court in 1880-86. Since 1886 he has been a judge of the state supreme court of Missouri.

In 1877 he graduated from the college of physicians and surgeons of New York City; and studied at the Royal college of surgeons at Edinburgh, Scotland.
