Some boyle theſe ſpices in Wine, which they then ſweeten with Sugar, and then let run through a Hyppocras bag, and afterwards bottle it up, and uſe when they pleaſe.

A ſingle Hypocras bag, or Manica Hippocratis.

When you would have this or any other Liquor to be very clear, you may use the triple Hypocras bag, for what feces paſſeth the firſt will ſtay in the ſecond, and what in the ſecond will ſtay in the laſt.

Note that theſe bags must be made of white Cotton.
