CHAP. 1.-Joint Resolution Authorising payment of salaries of the officers and employees of Congress for December, 1925, on the 19th day of that menth.
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives are authorized and directed to pay to the officers and employees of the Senate and House of Representatives, including the Capitol Police, the Office of Legislative Counsel, and employees paid on vouchers under authority of resolutions, their respective salaries for the month of December, 1923, on the 19th day of that month.

CHAP. 3.-Joint Resolution To continue section 217 of the Act reclassifying the salaries of postmasters and employees of the Postal Service, readjusting their salaries and compensation on an equitable basis, increasing postal rates to provide for such readjustment, and for other purposes (Public, Numbered. 506, Sixty-eighth Congress), approved February 28, 1926, in full force and effect until not later than the end of the second week of the second regular semfor of the Sixty-ninth Congress. wit December 16, 1925.

Vol. 13, p. 1070. eighth Congress), approved February 28, 1925, is hereby extended and continued in full force and effect until not later than the end of the second week of the second regular session of the Sixty-ninth Congress.

District of Columbia. made a legal holiday. December 26, 1926, Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Saturday, December 26, 1925, be, and the same is hereby, declared a legal holiday in the District of Columbia for all purposes: Provided, Provia Government and That all employees of the United States Government in the District Discs employees en- of Coluribia and employees of the District Columbia shall be titled to pay.. entitled to pay for this holiday the same as on other days.
