Charles Frederick Lindauer II (1919-2005) was a negotiator during the land acquisition to build the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. He later was a real estate broker in New Jersey and a public relations director for Murphy and West Law Firm in Los Angeles, California. In 1955 he was involved in a scandal involving the acquisition of land to build the Garden State Parkway, and he was forced to resign by D. Louis Tonti. In 1973 Tonti would be arrested for extorting bribes totaling $200,000 that were deposited in a secret Swiss bank account.

She added that he told them her husband needed more treatment than she did. "

Lindauer, 75, a former resident of Jersey City, who for many years conducted a real estate and insurance business on Pacific Avenue, died Saturday in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a long illness. Surviving Mr. Lindauer are his wife, Jean L. Courter; two sons, John Howard, and Charles Frederick Lindauer; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Cull, Jr., and Mrs. Alfred Richardson and eight grand-children."
