This portal points to resources created by the national government organs of the People's Republic of China. This includes works created by the National People's Congress, the State Council, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Central Military Commission, the National Supervisory Commission and their subsidiary agencies.

National People's Congress

The National People's Congress (NPC) is the highest power of the state by law. It makes national laws, changes the constitution, supervises all other governmental organs and elect their leaders. Its standing committee (NPCSC) makes and interprets laws when the NPC is not in session.

President

The President is a ceremonial role who signs orders and approve laws after they have been passed in the National People's Congress or its standing committee. In recent times, the President is also the chairman of the Central Military Commission and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China.

State Council

The State Council, also called the Central People's Government, is the cabinet of the Chinese government. It is led by the Premier, who is China's head of government. Under the State Council are functional departments with specific portfolios, such as health, environment, and culture, that can make departmental rules and other forms of regulation.
