Death of her sister. "May V. Norton, 88, Cedar Glen Lakes, Manchester Township, New Jersey, died Friday at home. She was a dental assistant in the Philadelphia area for 18 years, prior to her marriage in the 1950s. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, and the Third Order of St. Francis, all Whiting. Mrs. Norton was born in Jersey City, and lived in Jackson Township before moving to the Cedar Glen Lakes in 1970. Her husband, Thomas P., died in 1968. Surviving are three stepsons, Thomas, Lake Hiawatha, Vincent, Colonia, and James, Edgewater; a brother, William Burke, Colonia; eight grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements."
Death of her brother. "Owen J. Burke, 69, of Colonia died yesterday in the East Orange Veterans Hospital. A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in the St. John Vianney Church, Colonia, following the funeral from the Leon J. Gerity Funeral Home, Woodbridge. Mr. Burke was a dispatcher employed by the Halls Motor Transit Co. of East Brunswick for 27 years before retiring six years ago. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 641, Jersey City. Mr. Burke served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 388 of Jersey City. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Union before moving to Colonia five years ago. Surviving are two brothers, William and John, and a sister Mrs. May V. Norton."

Morgan; dear sister of Bertha Prasky, William Burke, May Norton, John Burke, and Owen Burke. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at William Schlemm Inc. Funeral Home, Bergen and Harrison Avenues, Jersey City, Monday, January 19 at 9:30 a.m. Requiem mass, St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church at 10 o’clock. Internment, Holy Name Cemetery. Visiting hours 2-5 and 7-10 p.m. Parking On Premises."

Death of her father. "John J. Burke, Sr., 73, of 740 Grand Street, died yesterday at the Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, and a member of its Holy Name Society. He was a former employee of Peter Henderson, florist. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Josephine Burke; three sons, William, John and Owen Burke, and four daughters, Mrs. Mary Norton and the Misses Bertha, Josephine, and Margaret Burke and a sister, Mrs. Mary Patterson."
