Death of her husband. "The funeral of Thomas Patrick Norton, 76, of 17 Pine Street, Jackson, New Jersey will be Tuesday from the David DeRoche Funeral Home, 213 Lexington Avenue, Lakewood, with a mass in St. Aloysius Church, Jackson. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Mr. Norton died yesterday at Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood. He was a longtime resident of Jersey City and a retired yardmaster for the Lackawanna Railroad in Hoboken. He was a member of the local Senior Citizens Club."
Her death. "Mrs. Mary Burke Norton, 59, of 603 Garfield Avenue, died yesterday at the Medical Center of a ruptured appendix. She was admitted to the hospital August 31. Mrs. Norton, a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Norton, Sr., and three sons, Thomas; Vincent and James Norton."
Death of her father. "John J. Burke, Sr., 73, of 740 Grand Street, died yesterday at the Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, and a member of its Holy Name Society. He was a former employee of Peter Henderson, florist. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Josephine Burke; three sons, William, John and Owen Burke, and four daughters, Mrs. Mary Norton and the Misses Bertha, Josephine, and Margaret Burke and a sister, Mrs. Mary Patterson."
Death of her aunt that raised her. "On Saturday, July 20, at her late residence, 236 Jewett Avenue, Jersey City. Kate Finn, beloved daughter of the late Catherine Creedon and Daniel Finn, aunt of May M. Burke. …"
Death of her maternal grandfather. "On Friday, October 14th, 1887, Daniel Finn, aged 69 years. Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from his late residence, 276 First street, on Sunday at 3 o'clock p.m."
