Main page layout...
I came to this discussion late, but here's my 2 cents plain on the Main Page/sandbox:
While the visuals are nice (sharp and clean) I think the order of the items is reversed: this is a site for everyone, not just mavins, so the Main Page needs to grab a casual visitor's attention. Lists like "Featured text" and "New texts" ain't gonna do it.
Suggestions:
- Run the "Explore WikiSource" options directly below the banner in a horizontal line, without the text.
- Check out Wiktionary's "Foreign & Word of the Day" boxes: use something like those side by side, not following each other, for "Featured Text" and "Featured Poem" links - or better yet "Text" and "Poem of the Day!"
- Put the Current Collaborations and Highlights next
- Put the New and Featured texts last.

T. rex
Why does it date the article to 1863 when it was 1905? Also, it calls Tyrannosaurus rex Tyrannosaur rex. Abyssal (talk) 20:01, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
