Prayer of Yawar-Ziwa

Mark Lidzbarski3807039Mandaïsche Liturgien — Prayer 111920Wikisource
XI.
I worshipped and praised that Jāwar-Zīwā,
whose Škīnā rests on the earth of the outer ether and in the light dwelling.
I worshipped and praised the 7 dear, well-kept Mānās created from him.
I made a request to the first life and reached at the mighty, foreign life
(what I asked for) against the one who sins against me NN, who sins against my friends,
the friends of my friends and the friends of the great tribe of life.
And the life is victorious.

Commentary

[edit]
These 3 prayers "On lifting up the eyes", "On the day they granted the Jordan" and "I worshipped and praised that Jāivar-Zīwā" perform on the bank of the Jordan after "I lift up the eyes." They are the helpers of baptism.
