LXX.
Blessed and praised be the life
that is full of mercy to these souls.
Blessed be you, my Lord Mandā d-Haijē,
who lift up these souls and do not condemn them.
Blessed be you, Jōšamīn, you Pure One,
who are a helper to them.
Blessed are you, Šilmai and Nidbai,
who bear true witness to them.
Blessed are you, Hibil, Šitil and Anoš,
who may bring them over from the tax collector's house.
From Abathur, the man of valor,
come an escort to meet you.
The attendant who is coming to meet you
is completely resplendent beyond measure.
In his right hand he holds a wreath,
on his two arms a robe.
Get ready, put on your robe
and put on your garland.
Tie on your belt,
which is without spot or blemish.
Above your head
blossom fruit.
Between the lamps of light
your lamps will be lifted up and shine.
The chief tax collector will not stand before you,
and the judges of lies will not question you.
They will lay beams for you
from here to the light dwelling place.
The building that is set up for you in the house of life
will not pass away for all time.
From the splendor and the light of the Mandā d-Haijē
and from the peace of the life rest a part on us.
Blessed be the voice of life
and praised be the great lamp that is all light.
And praised be the life.

Commentary

[edit]
After you have read "Life rests in its own splendor and light" (= LXIV),
recite "You have been raised up and strengthened" (= LXV), "I lie there wrapped up" (= LXV, "With him, with the solver" (= LXVII), "Between the hidden and the splendor" (= LXVIII), "Rest and Salvation Prevail" (= LXIX), "My Illumination and Praise" (= XCI), "Go in Peace, Chosen One, Pure One" (= XCII), "Hail, Hail, Soul" (= XCIV) and other hymns as much as you can.
Then read "Blessed and Praised be the Life" of Šum bar Nū.
If you read about (several) souls, read ivie is written, if the soul is one, say "the soul of the NN".
Take care (that you) speak carefully, thoughtfully, and knowledgeably.
Read "Good is the good for the good" (= LXXII), hand Kuštā to each other, read "With rich splendor I am baptized" (LXIII), pray for yourselves, prepare for yourselves Pihtā and Mambūhā, eat your Pihtā, drink your Mambūhā, consecrate (the prayer) "Good is the good for the good", hand Kuštā to each other and honor your crown.
And life is victorious.
