Macrophilia
[edit]Macrophilia is an inappropriate category for works that aren't directly on the subject of macrophilia. Please don't add sex related categories to Alice in Wonderland, for example.--Prosfilaes (talk) 23:08, 15 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Prosfilaes: I figured some one would take issue. Not that I want to make a big fuss, however macrophilia is foremost a fascination with unrealistic size in stories, imagery, and other art. If wiki should carry categories by theme, there are probably themes with much higher priorities. Until the day macrophilia gets more acknowledgement as a non-sexual theme (probably no day soon), you're probably correct. Adding the category was partly impulse, partly personal convenience, and partly curiosity if hardly anyone bothers maintaining categories on wikisource. I'm glad to see someone does, though I feel that's obviously a field of endeavor that could use more help judging from the state of organization here. Not that I don't already have enough of a presence expressing my view of macrophilia on wiki talk pages nor does any result of asking make much difference, however, for the sake of a potential to continue meaning something more which I see as threatened by those who seek to profit monetarily from transforming as much as possible into a topic of sexuality, please bear an open mind if macrophilia or size-fascination arises as a topic in any other non-sexual context. For now, I'll see about thinking of other themes to categorize 'free as in freedom' fiction by, as well as what kind of sources one could consider reliable for identifying widely agreed upon themes within fiction---should disagreements arise. Hopefully, my thanking you for understanding, comes off as appropriate: Thanks!

Nesting templates
[edit]Placing {{rh}} inside {{larger}} causes a lint error. The order has to be {{rh|{{larger|}} }} rather than the reverse. Also, there is no reason to put page headers in lowercase and use a template to make them uppercase. The headers aren't transcluded, so it is less coding to just use the uppercase headers. --EncycloPetey (talk) 23:47, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

If the text's djvu file has a different name, after a second pipe character should go the name of the file sans the file type or page prefix.

Hey there Eaterjolly!
I see you made some recently contributions to WikiSource, and I want to formally invite you to join WS:WPV. It's a great place with friendly people, and we can always use the help.
Kindest Regards, –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 18:20, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- @MJL: I sincerely feel flattered by the invitation! I, at the moment, have no lack for transcription projects of personal importance to me. Aside, may I recommend some day adventuring to the library of Timbuktu, hiring a local to translate some pre-colonial text to english, then publishing that creative commons to wikisource? Bonus points, if a non-arabic pre-colonial text!

- Sorry for the late reply, I was deliberately holding off on doing so until some.. drama on enwiki subsided. That all sounds really involved lol. I think you win the prize if there was one to give out! –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 00:54, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
