Making changes on Wikisource

I want to make sure that you understand that our texts are based on existing publications, so we don't add additional content that isn't present in the original. If you look at the source document for the 1903 King translation of the Code of Hammurabi (linked on its talk page), you will see that there is no article #283 in the original text. Because of this, we cannot add a 283rd article to this edition.
If you have an edition which does have an article #283 in it, that's great! However, it would be necessary to add this copy properly (as described at Help:Beginner's guide to adding texts), so that we can host your edition as well as the one we already have. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 13:15, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
