deletion discussion

Why we have to delete One Hundred Poems by Kabir? unsigned comment by Ravinderkap777 (talk) .

Hi. Please follow the link on the work to see the deletion discussion, and to have your opinion. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:44, 5 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi Ravinderkap777. In situations such as this, where a text has been proposed for deletion but you are working on it in order to preserve it, it is important that you participate in the deletion discussion to let us know what you are doing. Deletion discussions can be closed at any point after one week from the proposal is made, and in this case I was about to delete it because that appeared to be the consensus. It was pure luck that I noticed you'd already put quite a lot of work into improving the text and bringing it up to our standards. In such circumstances the community here has traditionally not been willing to delete a text, preferring instead to wait and let you complete your work on it before deciding. If you'd just let us know in the discussion at WS:PD#One Hundred Poems by Kabir that you were working on it we could have avoided any confusion.
PS. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance if you need it. Any admin (such as myself and Billinghurst) will be happy to help you navigate processes such as a deletion discussion; and the community at Wikisource:Scriptorium/Help is usually quite good at helping with more technical things like the use of templates or special characters. If English is not your native language and participating in discussions is challenging, please just make a note of it and we'll find some way to work around the language barrier (for example, we do have some multilingual contributors that may be able to help translate). --Xover (talk) 20:46, 29 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

One Hundred Poems of Kabir

[edit]

Hi Ravinder. I see that you're the only person who's actively contributing to One Hundred Poems by Kabir. I would like to bring to your notice that I have created a new edition One Hundred Poems of Kabir (see all versions here). This is because the latest Indian edition contains the original Hindi dohas too, which I'm unable to find anywhere over the Internet. I believe these add considerable value to the text. You can join me in completing that text, in case you wish to do so. Thanks! Wikilover407 (talk) 16:02, 13 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
