Merman & Mermaid contents
[edit]On Wikisource, when we need to include a Table of Contents that isn't present in the original work we do it using the template {{Auxiliary Table of Contents}} as shown on Nagananda (Boyd 1872). --EncycloPetey (talk) 17:25, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Also, is page 1 proofread? It's currently marked as "Problematic". --EncycloPetey (talk) 17:26, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for the reminder. I've placed an {{Auxiliary Table of Contents}} on the front page. The text at page 1 should be accurate, but I'm not able to improve the layout much further. Subvisser5 (talk) 20:10, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Poetry and wrapping
[edit]As for regular text, you should unwrap lines, e.g. if there's
in the scan, you should unwrap it to "Blah blah this is a very, very long line, and it's wrapped around, not just another line, which can be seen by the hanging indent", which gives the right output (it still wraps, but only when it needs to):
instead of leaving the wrapping, which produces output like this:
in all cases, whether it is forced to wrap or not.
(Also:
- be a bit careful for text size. e.g. for Page:Poems Himburg.djvu/22, when you look closely the A in the title is the same size as the A's on line beginning, it's just bold.
- and, you may already know, but instead of the poem extension you can use {{ppoem}}, which I think makes formatting easier. It's a matter of personal choice, just making sure you're aware.)
