Your edits to Tafsir Ibn Kathir/Al-Faatiha

[edit]

Hi Wulverine claws,

I noticed your recent edits to Tafsir Ibn Kathir/Al-Faatiha. The Wikipedia links you added are against our policy on links and will have to be removed. But in addition I wonder from where the arabic translations come? Wikisource hosts previously published works as they were published and does not add its own changes or additions to them (see Wikisource:Annotations). This is, obviously, quite unlike Wikipedia where all articles are expected to keep changing and improving indefinitely. --Xover (talk) 06:18, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have removed these links on Tafsir Ibn Kathir/Al-Faatiha and Tafsir Ibn Kathir please do not add such links in the future. I have linked you to our guidance on links and annotation in the above message. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with them, and feel free to ask if you have questions or need assistance. --Xover (talk) 10:18, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Texts in your user space

[edit]

Hi Wulverine claws,

I notice that you're doing a lot of editing in your user space now. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but Wikisource is not a free web host: we expect your user space to be used for things that have some relevance to the project, and userspace is not exempt from the policies that govern the rest of the project. In particular, all texts should have a known and documented source and follow our style guide and common practices; and they must be either in the public domain or compatibly licensed. None of the texts currently in your user space comply with this; and several of them appear to be clear copyright violations.

Please address these concerns; either by remedying them in the texts, or by explaining why they are not applicable here on your user talk page. --Xover (talk) 16:30, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
