2008-05 admin
Geo_Swan migrated to Wikisource as a place to host Department of Defense documents related to the extrajudicial detentions in the War on Terror over a year ago. With nearly a thousand edits to WS, I haven't seen a single questionable judgment call - he deals almost exclusively in Department of Defense documents and using them as sources in corresponding WP articles - and has single-handedly created Wikisource:Guantanamo as one of the greatest online repositories of this information. I have no qualms about his continued vigilance if given Admin tools, and think it could only help the project to have such a dedicated presence. - Support. Wikisource:Guantanamo is a fantastically impressive reference resource—comprehensive and well organized. Geo Swan’s attention to detail will serve the project well. Tarmstro99 13:29, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support - Wikisource:Guantanamo is incredible and really shows what Wikisource is capable of. I'm sure he will be a great admin. Suicidalhamster 10:15, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

- Support—Active yes, but recent sysop activities apparently nil? AuFCL (talk) 01:01, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose current contributions have not generally been to our expected standard or style, and I believe their edits should be patrolled, as such removing admin rights so edits can be patrolled — billinghurst sDrewth 02:26, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

- Geo Swan here. Thanks to User:Mpaa, whose note on my talk page triggered an automatic email heads-up. I am grateful for my wikisource access. Thanks! With regard to my future level of activity. In recent years most documents I would once have uploaded to wikisource, I have instead uploaded to commons, so I don't anticipate my participation rate rising to a high level again, in 2016. ¬¬¬¬
- So will you be more or less active in 2016? (Just asking as I am not sure if this message and the one on your talk page are aligned).— Mpaa (talk) 18:37, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
- Honestly, I do not anticipate being very active in 2016. Thanks! Geo Swan (talk) 22:09, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
