2008-05 admin
- Mtmelendez (talk • contribs)
What a semester. Mtmelendez joined in January to add George W. Bush's Eighth State of the Union Address, and has been a solid contributor to our collaboration projects (the collaboration on Bush in March 2008 might have helped), recently making a start on a difficult transcription project. He is often the first person on the scene, and has been keeping us in the loop (for good or ill) and putting in significant thought to help nut out the major style/conceptual issue we face as we grow. I accept the nom, if the librarians will have me. :) - Mtmelendez 14:45, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Support, as nom. As an admin on English Wikipedia, the tools are safe in these hands. As evidenced by his aptitude on Wikisource, the tools will be in appropriate hands here. John Vandenberg (chat) 14:32, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Support, has done a great job with weekly collaborations and such. Can picture quite a bit of help in shaping what WS is all about, well-rounded and reliable...let's make him an admin so he can never leave. Sherurcij Collaboration of the Week: Author:John Masefield 02:53, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support Solid contributions. Looks like a good addition to Wikisource admin team. FloNight 16:01, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support A lot of important contributions including the Presidential Radio Addresses, which are important to our history. Over 1300 edits. Looks like a great match for Wikisource. --Mattwj2002 18:54, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I have been impressed with his work here and on other projects; he'll do well. Support. giggy (:O) 11:14, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support. Always good to see people doing careful work in the Index and Page namespaces, and hopefully Mtmelendez’s efforts will be an example that will draw others to follow. Tarmstro99 13:32, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support - I trust this user, and he is making useful contributions. No good reason not to! Suicidalhamster 10:13, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

- Weakly support, still active per "50 edits in past 12 months" rule defined at Wikisource:Adminship#Inactive_admins. John Vandenberg (chat) 13:11, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- Desysop; inactivity. --Spangineerwp (háblame) 14:20, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- Desysop. Hasn't been active since August of last year--just less than a year, but still... Jude (talk) 13:23, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- Undecided. Can be swayed either way depending on what else is brought to the table. -- billinghurst (talk) 14:26, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- de-mop as inactive — 50ish edits in the last years on wp:wp, too. w/thanks and open-door, of course. Jack Merridew 10:40, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Consider this my resignation to the post, as I have been extraordinarily busy IRL. I thank you for your support during my time, and I hope to be back, hopefuly sooner rather than later. But Wikisource needs active admins, and I admit I am no longer as active as should be or want to be. I want to thank John in particular, he's been there for me through most times (he was the one who reminded me of my confirmation!) I thank you all for your consideration, and forgive my limited commitment. - Mtmelendez (talk) 12:44, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
