This page allows you to list works you would like proofread by multiple users for featured status. Please only list a few works, and preferably only those you have already proofread. Make sure that an online source is linked to on the work's main page or talk page. When you proofread a work, please make a note of this on the work's talk page using {{textinfo}}.

I've just started Clerc's Photography: Theory and Practice and got stuckted with images. Any help please? Thanks in advance.

A little Schopenhauer anyone? The first is a biography and introduction to his thought; the second his doctoral dissertation. Although the latter may get technical at certain points, like all his works it is very readable and contains the kernel of his philosophy. I have proofread them myself to a near finished state but need the help that only a fresh pair of eyes can bring to bear. The links to the original pdf files are on the talk pages. Advanced thanks.

Dear Banjee,

I am not sure how to contact you, as my computer access is currently not too great (working on a system that is not mine), and I do not have too much time to check out this website and get more involved. I just wanted to let you know that I have done a complete copyedit of the first part of The Tale of Pigling Bland, as a sample copyedit for the job hunting purpose. I would like to forward you the word document, but am not sure how. You (or anyone else reading this) may e-mail me ... if you would like me to send you the document.

Sincerely, Sara

I would like to see The_New_Student's_Reference_Work/Australia be a featured text this month. Please help by proofing it. Danny 04:11, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Proofread Only found problems in captions. Could probably use one more proofreader as it is a good length.--BirgitteSB 21:30, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

IT'S SHORT, IT WON'T TAKE YOU LONG. (Sorry for the ugly caps, I just wanted to catch your attention.) Please proofread this article by Author:Algernon Charles Swinburne. Link to the original text is listed at the top of the page.

That got my attention. I found two cases where our page uses British English instead of the American English, and a hyphen issue mentioned on the talk page. John Vandenberg (chat) 08:56, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to se History of the Ten Lost Tribes - Anglo-Israelism Examined become a featured text when its ready. I have begun proofing, but I need the help of others to complete the work in a timely manner. Links to the page-scans have been posted to Wikimedia Commons, a link is provided on the Wikisource page. —Wikijeff 04:23, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I proofread History of the Ten Lost Tribes - Anglo-Israelism Examined/Chapter 16 unsigned comment by Java7837 (talk) 03:10, 25 March 2007.
Currently nominated for featured status. —{admin} Pathoschild 02:35:58, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

I have personally proof read these texts, but they need others to take a look at them if they are to become Featured Texts.

  • Heroes of the hour: Mahatma Gandhi, Tilak Maharaj, Sir Subramanya Iyer: interesting short biographies of three personalities of the Indian Independence movement. The scan is quite good (compared to other Indian documents of this time), but the spelling and typography are quite weird (well, Indian style...). This book is not available elsewhere, so it could be proposed to Gutenberg.
  • M. K. Gandhi: Indian Patriot in South Africa: the first biography of Gandhi, much before he was known world wide. Scan of poor quality, but the boring work is already done. ;o) This book is not available elsewhere, so it could be proposed to Gutenberg.

Done validated. billinghurst (talk) 05:40, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
