Layout
[edit]I am going to work on the layout. Arlen22 (talk) 16:27, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Manuscript
[edit]I am looking for a picture or drawing of a piece of paper. One of those old fashioned ones that look kind of scrollish. Arlen22 (talk) 17:33, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Something like this?—Zhaladshar (Talk) 17:51, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, something like that. Are they CC-by-SA ? Arlen22 (talk) 20:31, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- I think I have seen one around before but not sure where. Arlen22 (talk) 20:35, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- I have no idea. I just needed to get an idea of what you were thinking. Finding one that's appropriately licensed will be a bit trickier.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 22:00, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Document Flow
[edit]Are the steps in the Tasks box confusing or not. When I say move I mean move the link from one page to another. We could also have one page to list them until they are complete, then move them to the Completed box. Arlen22 (talk) 15:41, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Decided to do it different. Arlen22 (talk) 21:13, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Number_of_Reviewers
[edit]How many people should review the document before it is declared complete?
- I would think not more than 2 (since it only takes 2 reviewers for a page in the Page: namespace to be at "validated" status).—Zhaladshar (Talk) 22:04, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Organization
[edit]How do we want to organize this? Should we split it up according to discipline (as in, have a WS:WPAP/Philosophy, etc., page)? Already, I have bookmarks for linguistics, religion, theology, philosophy, and anthropology journals that need digitization. It seems like it would be very easy to flood a "to do" list if everything is listed together in one batch.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 22:13, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
- That would probably be good. And then we would have a page linking to those pages. Arlen22 (talk) 18:30, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Proposal
[edit]Hi, I made this suggestion in Meta to open a new project about classifying books, journals and articles, in which you might be interested. Best wishes.--Xtv (talk) 08:46, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Large-scale import of open-access materials
[edit]Hi there, I haven't seen any prior discussion on whether and how to systematically import suitably licensed open-access papers, so I am inviting opinions on that. Specifically, I am not sure how this WikiProject's focus on "Public Domain Academic Papers" fits with articles that are licensed other than PD (particularly CC-BY or CC-BY-SA), of which there are already some, e.g. in Category:PLoS ONE. I have posted a related inquiry at Wikisource:Scriptorium#Scaling_up_the_import_of_open-access_sources. -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 12:11, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- I have just proposed a WikiProject Open Access to handle these matters. -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 09:45, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
