His biography. "Peter Cashow, Captain, son of Rem Cashow and Hendericke Hegeman, born September 16, 1794; died May 19, 1835; married Ann Bailey, born June 16, 1792; died March 10, 1827. He married (2d), January 30, 1828, Elizabeth Garry. They are buried in an old cemetery not far from the old mill at Crane Neck. He built the sloop Ann Maria, and sailed her as captain in 1823. Issue: William Cashow, died September 17, 1824."
His father's biography. "Rem Cashow, son of Frederick Cashow and Maragriete Hardenburg … Issue: … Peter Cashow, married Ann Bailey; married Elizabeth Garry."
