Maratye Bennet (1768-1816) was the second wife of Rem Cashow. She is sometimes referred to as "Maratÿe Bennet" and "Mary Bennet". (b. 25 September 1774; Oyster Bay Town, Queens, New York Colony, British Colonial America - d. 23 July 1830; Oyster Bay, Nassau, New York, United States)

Her husband's biography. "Rem Cashow, son of Frederick Cashow and Maragriete Hardenburg, born February 19, 1768; baptized March 27, 1768, in Wolver Hollow; died September 27, 1816; married (1st) Hendericke (called Hanke) Hegeman, daughter of Adriaen Hegeman and Egbertie Van Nostrand, born April 11, 1772; baptized May 7, 1772, in Wolver Hollow; married (2nd) Maratye Bennet, daughter of Nicholas Bennett and Mary Duryea, born September 25, 1774; baptized October 11, 1774, in Wolver Hollow; died July 23, 1830."
Her father-in-law's biography. "Issue: … Rem Cashow, married Hendericke Hegeman, married Maratÿe Bennet."
Her son-in-law's biography. "James Voorhest Duryea, of East Woods, son of Abraham Duryea and Cynthia Voorhis, born January 18, 1804; died January 31, 1889, age 85. 0. 13.; married Jane Cashow, daughter of Rem Cashow and Maratÿe Bennet, born 1807; baptized March 27, 1808; died June 15, 1879, age 72. 5. 11. Both baptized at Wolver Hollow."
Her tombstone inscription. "Sacred to the memory of Mary Cashow was born the 25th day of September in the year of our Lord 1774 and died the 23rd day of July in the year of our Lord 1830 aged 56 yrs 2 months & 2 days."
