Prayer for "loosing" (consecration) of incense for baptism

XXXI.
The brightness rises to its place,
the light to the shining dwelling.
In the day when the light ascends,
the darkness will return to its place.
The remission of sins, transgressions, follies, stumbles and errors
will be forgiven to the friends of the name of Kuštā,
as well as to those souls who have descended to the Jordan and received baptism.
The consuming fire will consume you,
and your service will be in the dwellings.
The fragrance of life will ascend to the house of life,
and we too will ascend to the house of life, we will be victorious.
Our support and trust will be in the life in the place of light and in the shining dwelling.
Life stands firm, it is erected in its škīnā,
life is victorious over all works.

Commentary

This is the "solution" of the incense at baptism.

(a) In the name of the great life, shine my mind, knowledge and knowledge to me N, son of N, through these exhortations for baptism, which are copied from the manuscript of the "Great Source".
(b) This is the baptism with which Hibil-Zīwā baptized Adam, the first man, when the pure Mānā began to breathe in him and

(c) Then Hibil-Zīwā arose, clothed himself with the 7 gezcänder and went to the bank of the Jordan. Then he rose, read "In the name of that first man" (= over the crown and put it on his head. Then he read "Life created Jāiwar-Zīwā" (= III), "There shone the light" (= V) and "Mandā created me" (= XIX) over the myrtle wreath and put it on the side of the crown. Then he grasped one end of the stole, read "Mighty and great was the great mystery of splendor, light and glory" (= VII) over the Pandāmā and placed it around his mouth. Then he read
"How lovely the fragrance" (= VIII) and placed (the incense pan) in front of him. Then he read "We confessed" (= LXXV), "Praises" (= LXXVI), "You" (LXXVII), "I wanted to lift up the eyes" (= XXXV), "When lifting up the eyes" (= IX), "On the day when they granted the Jordan to Sām-Smīr" (= X), "I worshipped and praised that Jāwar-Zīwā" (= XI) "I am Jür.... I shone in rich splendor" (= XII). Then he touched the head bandage and read "I went down to the Jordan" (= XIII) up to the place ico it says "they strengthened me the limbs of my body. I descend". Then he descended to a quarter of his legs in the Jordan and read "In the name of Jōs-mīr, the first vine" (= XIV) over the olive staff. Then he read "Bound be the sea" (= XV) and drew 3 times 3 figures in the Jordan. (i) He recited all the songs and hymns in their entirety. He read "Blessed and praised be the life" of šum bar Nu (= LXX and "Good is the good for the good" (= LXXII). He read "With rich splendor I am baptized" (= LXIII), loosened the head bandage and honored the crown.
And the life is victorious.
Further, Hibil-Ziwā determined and said, "The cry of life, the cry of the Mandā d-Haijē, and the cry of the great, first word be against any priest who performs baptism without the Pandāmā. Him shall the vein of the great spring curse, him shall the Uthras Šilmai and Nidbai, the guardians of the Jordan curse, him shall the spring and the palm tree curse, Jōkabar shall take away his crown and sign and cast him down to the nature of the place of darkness.
On the other hand, before every Nāsōraean who holds the Pandāmā while he performs baptism, the vein of the great fountain will cluster, all that he does ivird will endure, all coincidences will stay away from him, darkness will be wrapped up before him, and his robe will be kept with us. While he is still in his body, the 7 cannot let go fear against him, but high power will be sent to him,
(k) When he passes out of his body, the cloud will meet him that meets the Uthras, the fear of the watchmen will have no power over him, and he will not pass by the watchmen, Abathur will clothe him with his splendor, and all the Uthras will put of their light over him".
And the life is victorious.
(l) This is the ordinance for the baptism that came to this world. Hibil-Ziwā baptized with it Adam, the first man, and it was preserved through the generations for the men of proven righteousness.
This ordinance was written down in the manuscript of the "Great Spring" of Bāmōiā, son of Eqaimath.
It was copied here by Daian Hibil, son of Bnkh-Jāwar.
Then he sowed it out among 100 Nāsōreans from own handwriting which he had copied from the handwriting of Rāmōiā, son of Eqaimath, which was written in the locality of Tib and was with Haiōnā, daughter of Jahiā, and Dainai, son of Zakid.
Those who hold on to it, those who will not hold on to it, keep away from it and do not approach it.
And life is victorious.
(m) Further, Jahiā Adam son of Sām-Sāiōiā said: When the handwriting of Rāmōiā son of Eqaimath, which was with Haiōnā, the daughter of Jahiā, and Bainai, the son of Zakiā, fell into my hands, I built it up and, arranged it as the original one was written, and did not change anything in it.
