Doug (2018 renamed to User:DeirdreAnne)
2011-03 admin
Doug (talk • contribs) • activity • Global
Doug has been extremely active since the beginning of December 2010. In a few short months he has learnt a lot, and is busy doing whatever obviously needs to be done. He has started operating bots DougBot (talk • contribs) and Interwiki-Bot (talk • contribs), and has a few edits on a number of the other language subdomains. He is active in community discussions on the project and is also frequently participating in IRC discussions.
In addition to demonstrating suitability for sysop here for English Wikisource, Doug is also getting involved in Latin Wikisource, and I see sysop in his future there. It will be helpful for him to work among our sysop ranks here to gain a bit of experience before being left to his own devices on Latin Wikisource, where the infrastructure is less developed and there are fewer peers to call on.
p.s. he is also an admin on English Wikipedia, but I am sure he will be happy to resign from there if anyone holds that against him. John Vandenberg (chat) 12:35, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

- Oppose (at this juncture) - While Doug has been a good contributor and has gone out of his way to be helpful and provide his input, I don't feel comfortable with way DougBot was lobbied for, actively persued secondary support for when the approval was in question and then after securing approval, the urgency for its use has gone silent and lays dormant for about a month now. I'm only speaking up here because I'd like to see Doug continue to provide en.WS specific support - not just, in my view, collect pins and badges acrosss the Wiki foundation. — George Orwell III (talk) 22:13, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support participates across the space and would do no damage with tools, which is my criteria. Doug can have a level of (WP over-) urgency at times, and could well to equate WS with OktoberFest rather than Daytona, and that we truly want to give people time to participate. His beatings will continue as we redesign that WPishness though that can be with tools. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:17, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

2012-04 confirmation
- Note, I have been somewhat light on my activity the past few months due to a need to focus on getting a new job and going away to training and probably will remain so due to a job change and international move; however, I intend to continue to lurk and check e-mail notices and will take admin actions when I see a need but my log actions will likely be low for a while. Hopefully, I'll be back to some editing and more active admin work by mid-summer.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 18:13, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

I've been lurking here and there now and then but getting around to a name change was holding me back from doing much so I hope to change that in the near future now that this is address. Sorry for my long absence. Thanks billinghurst for letting people know and for your support. --DeirdreAnne(talk • contribs) 17:12, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

- Comment—The SUL is unresolved when I checked, but I see there is action on it. Two questions: Who is seeking to verify the transfer of the account's history and tools across wikimedia? And will this 'single user login' be unique? — CYGNIS INSIGNIS 13:47, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
- Unresolved? This should be complete, do you see some outstanding issue? As far as I can tell, this is my global user name, my history and tools came with automagically, and I have obtained the former username in order to ensure that it remains dormant. I have a lot of user pages to update and some of the information about what tools I have where is out of date but I will be doing so soon.--DeirdreAnne(talk • contribs) 03:10, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- "but I see there is action on it." Seems to be resolved by password now. I thought or imagined that username transfers were 'given a tick in a non-automatic way' when extended rights, sysop and bureaucrat, were being enabled, for what I think or imagine are obvious reasons. You may know better, having been active in extending those rights to others at a sister site [and here, now that I think about it], so I might learn something. People having unique accounts is a thing with me at this little sister, so I prefer it when others give assurances about that [only two people have objected to me asking]. Other than that I have no objections and expect a benefit to the site. Regards, CYGNIS INSIGNIS 12:26, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
- OK, I wasn't trying to be snotty but it kind of looks like it now that I re-read it. Sorry if it was. Just trying to understand what the issue was. I agree with you that unique accounts are important. I don't really understand the name change process, I haven't been involved in name changes for about a decade, SUL was new or developing iirc and usernames back then could be created on a single wiki. I don't know but I don't think that's possible anymore. Or at least not possible for normal users.--DeirdreAnne(talk • contribs) 22:10, 29 October 2018 (UTC)

- Comment I've changed the nomination header from "active" to "inactive"; there have been no edits in 12 months, which is significantly less activity than the threshold outlined in the policy (i.e. no edits in 6 months and no more than 50 edits in the 6 months prior to that). —Beleg Tâl (talk) 15:09, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
- On further inspection, it appears that this admin's last edit on this project was her last edit on any Wikimedia project to date. BD2412 T 19:39, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
