(1863–1918)

Catherine Elizabeth Finn (1863-1918) was a migrant from Wales to the United States in 1873 or 1874. She never married and she worked as a private secretary at the American Lead Pencil Company (now Faber-Castell) in Hoboken, New Jersey. When her sister died, Catherine raised her child, Mary Margaret Burke (1890-1949).

Death of her grandniece. "Mrs. Mary Burke Norton, 59, of 603 Garfield Avenue, died yesterday at the Medical Center of a ruptured appendix. She was admitted to the hospital August 31. Mrs. Norton, a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Norton, Sr., and three sons, Thomas; Vincent and James Norton."
Her death. "On Saturday, July 20, at her late residence, 236 Jewett Avenue, Jersey City. Kate Finn, beloved daughter of the late Catherine Creedon and Daniel Finn, aunt of May M. Burke. …"
Death of her father. "On Friday, October 14th, 1887, Daniel Finn, aged 69 years. Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from his late residence, 276 First street, on Sunday at 3 o'clock p.m."
