"Failed to initialize OpenSeadragon, no image found."

[edit]

{{helpme}} When validating the silent movie Safety Last!, every time I click edit a redbox shows up on the right saying "Failed to initialize OpenSeadragon, no image found."

Is there supposed to be a still of the image to make it easier to validate? Right now, I've been manually scrubbing the webm to the timecode listed.

Do I need to download any special software to resolve this error?

@Halikandry: - Hi, so unfortunately Wikisource currently has no internal way with its software to automatically go to a specific timestamp, or give you an image from it on the fly. My recommended approach is either to watch the webm file in a browser window on the side of your timestamp validations, or to download it locally and use a video player such as VLC or QuickTime to manually go to the specified time stamps. List item spanning multiple pages

[edit]

{{helpme}} On this page the first paragraph is the continuation of the last list item (*) from the previous page. Is it possible to have a list item span multiple pages like with a table? How would one do that?

Regards Halikandry (talk) 02:32, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

You can use <p> tags.
On the end of the first page, in the body, * <p> beginning of content, and in the beginning of the footer </p>.
On the beginning of the second page, at the end of the header, <p>, and in the body ... end of content</p>.
In Page: namespace, the end of the content will appear to not be in a list item, but when transcluded (which is when it really matters), the headers and footers will be discarded, so the code will be like this: * <p> beginning of content ... end of content</p>, which will ensure that all the content between the p tags will be part of the list item.
